Short Description of Instrument |
The Structured Diagnostic Interview for Headache (SDIH) is a semi-structured interview used to facilitate a diagnosis of recurrent headache disorders.
Diagnoses addressed by the SDIH include the following: migraine w/o aura, migraine w/aura, chronic migraine, tension-type (episodic and chronic), cluster headache, medication-overuse headache, posttraumatic headache attributed to moderate or severe head injury, posttraumatic headache attributed to mild head injury, posttraumatic headache attributed to whiplash injury, etc.
Time taken to complete this assessment is about 30-40 minutes. A brief version of this assessment is also available which omits questions that are not necessary for diagnostic decisions.
